Nosebleed Studio's 2012 Anthology: Seaside Stories

Now for some promotion!

Me and my colleagues in Nosebleed Studio are right now waiting for our latest anthology to arrive from the printers! It's so exciting!!
We have a plan to put out one new anthology each year, to show our personal progress aswell as to give the readers more awesome Swedish original manga.

Seaside Stories is our splashing new anthology and it contains 4 short story mangas (about 30-40 pages each) plus a lot of bonus material such as illustrations, sketches and shorter comics. The theme is, as you might have guessed, the sea and it's beauty! We all tackled it in different ways - from just making it a scenery to making it important for the storyline.

The mangas inside are:
Ocean Stars by Joakim Waller - an actionloaded manga about pirates and volleyball!
Love at First Bite by Catarina Batista - a romantic comedy about vampire love <3
Seaside by Alice Engström - a creepy horror manga about a spa close to the sea
Hooked On You by Natalia Batista - a romantic actionfilled mermaid-meet-man manga

You can read previews of the mangas at our shop and also preorder it by e-mailing to shop@nosebleed-studio.com

Not to boast, but today Nosebleed Studio is Swedens most well-known and active manga artist group. We have grown slowly but steadily since the start in 2006, back then doing fanzines and postcards, now making books and professional merchandise together. I see it as a teenage punk-band, slowly outgrowing their father's garage and getting smaller gigs and their first demo-albums.
This second anthology is like our second full lenght album, and we still have stuff to proof, readers to reach and lots of promotion to do! But it's fun, to see this project between friends grow into something bigger, and we like it a lot!

Here's some previews of the first pages of my manga in the book:

Thank you for reading! :D

One more submission for Ribbon done!

Last week, I finished the work on the Japanese version of Hooked On You with some help from my Japanese speaking friends! Thank you, everyone!! Akio, Rio, Elise, Simon and everyone else who have checked the spelling and grammar in Tomodachi Baburu (Friends Bubble).
((Yeah, I know the title is non-logical, but it's kind of standards when it comes to shojo manga, hahaha. It just have to sound cute!))

Here's the English and the Japanese cover pages next to each other. The both are printed in black and white, but I kept a colored version of the English.

And so, after some dramatic mishaps at the print shop (they printed the pages upside down on my expensive manga papers with markings... ;_; ) I finally sent of my second submission for Ribbon Manga School yesterday!
It's exciting, but still feels like a big burden to carry until you send it off, so now I feel like I'm walking on clouds! The decision is out of my controll, I just have to wait~

Oh, by the way...
I made a video when I inked the shojo manga eyes of the cover, here it is!

Thanks for reading!! :D
